South fields Village Public School

My Fall practicum was completed at Southfields Village P.S. school in a grade 5 classroom. My final practicum starting February to April will also be at Southfields Village P.S. in a grade 1 class. I am very excited to continue developing experience in the teaching practice. 

 

During my Fall placement I was able to meet many staff, teachers, and students and collaborated with many teachers in grade 5, 6, and 7 through school events such as the Holiday assembly, Reorganization, PD days, and Midterm Interviews. I began my experience in a grade 7 French classroom and co-taught Math, Language Arts and Drama in English, while my MT taught the French portion, this experience gave me the opportunity to learn about the way in which teachers plan and organize for the French Immersion program. This placement lasted from September to October before I was placed in a grade 5 classroom, while I was in this placement I taught my own units and lessons in Math and Health.
